Gordon is, by his own admission an “accidental” freight forwarder. Having left University in 1983 he took a temporary summer contract with a Ground Handling Company only to become seduced by the buzz and commercial excitement of the airport. This enthusiasm saw him occupy a number of positions including Assistant Cargo Manager at Korean Air.

In 1991 Gordon started working with Stuart and provided key support in areas that Seaspace did not at that time cover, namely air freight. A strong relationship rapidly emerged and it quickly became apparent that together Gordon and Stuart could create a highly effective and multi-facetted business capable of servicing the needs of a very demanding market.
